Job Scope
You are responsible for analysing , developing and implementing the physical database design in support of an organisation IT requirements.
As Part of your job, you will
-Monitor standards and procedures , access methods and time, validating checks andorganisational and statistical methods
-Maintain database dictionaries
-Mentor more junior technical staff
Personal Qualities
As a technical expert in an IT organization, you should be able to provide input on highly complex and high impacting decision as it relates to your area of expertise
Entry Requirements
Degree in computerrelated studies , information systems or related fileds with seven to 10 year's IT and business or industry working experience.
Careeer Opportunities
You can progress to become a Database Administrator, managing large database systems at a large installation. You can also become a database vendor providing pre or post sales support or consulting services.
